Well the Labour weekend South Island Bow Hunters Championships was played out in extremely wet conditions.

Seven of the Canterbury Archers Society members went over to the South Westland Club in Harihari on the West Coast.  There were two 3 arrow rounds on Saturday and a 2 arrow round on the Sunday.

The South Westland club ran a very successful and enjoyable event which between 40 - 50 competetors came to show their class.  Saturday afternoons round was accompanied by a persistent rain where gumboots came into their own.
The courses were set in some beautiful NZ native bush with some fabulous target set-ups.

Thankyou to the South Westland club for holding the event and hope to see most or all of you for the South Island Champs next year here in Canterbury.
